Out of the Box

I sometimes wish that I can see what my life would be like in an alternate universe.  So if I decided to go to School A instead of School B who would I have met?  Where would I be?  It doesn't even have to be on that large of a scale, I start with the small things like going down an isle in a grocery store that I have no need to buy anything from.  Sometimes I just want to change my life story a bit and not be so predictable even to myself.  Instead of getting the gum I always like I pick up a gum that I have never tried.
I imagine my alternate universe as a place that I have a whole other look.  I can be anybody in that world.  Just for fun try doing something totally out of character and unlike yourself, nothing negative, but just something different.  Maybe by doing that you may meet a new person, see something you have never seen before. Just think you may even find your soulmate.. Try it, I dare you!

Bigsis Birthday Party!!!

I am so happy for my bigsis who had a birthday yesterday :)  I have been extremely anxious about hearing how it turned out and much to my satisfaction it went GREAT!  She said that a good number of people showed up, we were talking about how much we thought would show and that was the weekend before last.  She put out the number 12.  So of course that means it more than doubled.  I have a special place in my heart for birthdays I just truly love them.

The best part about hearing how her party went was knowing that she had fun.  She said that my nephew (her son) came with his Spiderman suit on lol.  He is so adorable.  I really wish that I could have seen it all unfold but she lives out of the country and the trip would have broke the bank for me.

Although I wasn't there to enjoy the party with her, just hearing the exciting details was enough for me to feel like I was there.  She really deserved to have fun and enjoy a celebration for herself.  God is such a good God, she was a little worried because the party was outside on the roof and the forecast was calling for rain.  Needless to say the rain never showed up and the weather was perfect.  I am just so happy right now that everything went well. Happy Birthday to my amazing sister, I love you.

My new VLOG!!! hiOlympia :)

I have finally did what I have been wanting to do for a while...which is make a Vlog :) I am super duper excited and proud of myself.  I have never done anything remotely close to being in front of a camera and talking to it as if I am talking to an audience.  It was a really fun experience.

I have to admit some of the things that set me back were #1 my nerves  #2 my nerves! lol I think if anyone is interested in starting any new adventures in life it will undoubtedly be a little nerve racking and not to mention uncomfortable.  But all in all it would be best to try.

As of now I have 50 views and 1 subscriber :) this makes me smile.  I think the best part about me starting this Vlog is that it is without pretense.  This is the beginning of something that is about me.  I have no specific setting or idea about this channel. It will be mostly random things that I am interested in.

I hope that everyone enjoys it and that I will push myself to do things out of my comfort zone, more often and the nerves will get less and less busy.  Be Blessed

Pray for Japan

In times of catastrophe like these.  We need to bond together and pray.  The best thing you can do right now is send prayers.  No one can bring back any one's loved ones by complaining and blaming people.  These are horrible tragedies that have happened to people all around the world.  Somehow we are all connected and not only is this affecting Japan it is affecting all the people that are connected to someone there.

Do not think that your prayers won't count.  If we are all praying for those around us, you will definitely see a change.  Nothing is going to help the hurt than more than love.  People don't need to hear any advice on what they should have done or what they did not do.  This is a very sensitive time for many.  A lot of people have lost someone dear to them and all the complaining any finger pointing just adds to the hurt.

Lets do something positive and pray for them.  Not only can we pray for those that have been affected we can also Donate to the Salvation Army https://secure20.salvationarmy.org/donation.jsp  We can Donate to the Red Cross https://american.redcross.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=ggl_main&gclid=CPbphsLVyacCFQsGbAodBlavDg

Take the time out to say a prayer for all those affected by this disaster.  God Bless

E.L.F. Eye Shadow Brush...Review

I love, love, love this brush!  I was simply out shopping one day.  I was at Target and I discovered they had an affordable makeup section.  I was amazed that I could get good quality products at clearance prices.  The best part was I could try out all the products and not feel like I was robbed if I ended up not liking it.  Well, the not liking it part never happened.  I fell in love with one product in particular,  The "eye shadow brush"  I felt like this brush was made for me.  It was simple and easy to use and it worked really well.  I have never been anything close to an expert when it came to applying makeup but when I used this product I looked very similar to one.  I will never feel out of trend again when it comes to eye makeup.  I have tried all of their colors and used them in different ways.

I was always the girl with the horrible foam applicator that was getting clumps of eyeshadow in certain areas.  If you are like me and you have never done well with the foam shadow applicator out there then this is the brush for you.  It clings to the eye shadow of your choice and then you just brush it on and it is as easy as that.

I have also found this brush useful when I am rushing to go out.  I used to take forever trying to put on the pencil eye liner but now I just use my elf eye shadow brush and apply it with that.  I take the black eye shadow and brush it on as eye liner and it does the job much much quicker than penciling it on.  I cannot say enough great things about this brush.  It has allowed me to step my make-up game up in a major way.

Super Faith

I am at the point in my life where I either have to completely and utterly believe with all my heart or give up.  I choose to stick with it.  I have a calling on my life and I want this calling to be manifested into reality.  I sometimes get hung up on how long it will take or how much I am unfit for the job.  But then I always bounce back.  It is not easy being a Christian but it is so worth it.  I can hear God speaking to me throughout the day and just to know that he is near, changes things for me.  I push forward knowing that my trust in God is what has brought me to the point that I am at now.  I am forever grateful that the Lord has blessed me to be here.

God has been nothing less than faithful in my life.  I have never been let down by His perfect will.  I was listening to a speaker the other day that said "God knows your entire life story all the way through, even up to the point when you get to heaven." Just writing those words, lifts my spirit.  God has always been constantly on my side.  No matter what circumstances are going on in your life you have to know that God wants the best for you and it is up to you to get on His team.  Be Blessed.

Just Go With It...Review

Just Go With It, a new semi-romantic comedy released February 11th, is a comedy must see.  This movie stars Adam Sandler opposite Jennifer Aniston.  I have to admit I questioned the chemistry the two would produce on screen but, my pessimism was continually shot down starting with the first few scenes.

The story is built around the idea that Danny played by Sandler habitually pretends to be married in order to get woman to fall for him.  His dissaprooving assistant Katherine (Aniston) is thrust into his worldwind of lies when he meets a noticeably younger woman at a party, Palmer played by Brooklyn Decker, whom he tries to win over by undoing a lie that was unexpectedly told.

This movie went beyond the usual hate-turns to-love aspect that seems to haunt every romantic comedy.  Jennifer Aniston's portrayal of a single mother was shockingly believable.  Being that in her actual life she has no children, the motherly roll seemed very natural for her.  Aniston pulled off the caring and concerned parent part with deserved success.  Sandler orchestrated the films ongoing humor with his customary abnormal insensitive-to-children-humor.  The movie was filled with unexpected awkward situations that accompanied huge amounts of laughter.

Brooklyn Decker plays the gorgeous model type love interest of Danny (Sandler).  Besides all stereotypes that beauty comes with no brains, her character turns out to be a school teacher.  Decker herself also turns out to be a pretty crafty actress considering this was her on screen debut.  Cast with well seasoned pros, Decker easily keeps up with their pace.

I have to say that I have been very disappointed in these recent comedies where you have to hear an earful of profanity and an enormous amount of sex jokes.  This was a breath of fresh air from all the past comedic disappointments.  If you want to laugh and enjoy this weekend with almost non-stop humor...take a break from the busy world and grab some popcorn and try not to choke when you see this hilarious comedy about unexpected love and laugh out loud comedy.  This movie gets a well deserved three snaps and smile!
